Maintenance Guidelines for Generators
Learn how to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your generator with our comprehensive maintenance guidelines.
Minor Maintenance (1500-3000 Running Hours)
- Inspect and repair PT pump and injectors.
- Adjust valve clearance and injector stroke.
- Adjust belt tension of fan, battery charger, and water pump.
- Check turbocharger clearance.
Top Overhaul (6000-8000 Running Hours)
- Includes all minor maintenance tasks.
- Partial engine decomposition to check turbocharger, rocker arm, cylinder head, piston assembly, inter-cooler, pumps, and injectors.
- Replace turbocharger repair kits, valve seat rings, guides, piston rings, cylinder liner, connecting rod bearings, water pump repair kits, and adjust injector nozzles.
Major Overhaul (10000-12000 Running Hours)
- Includes all top overhaul tasks.
- Complete engine disassembly, including crankshaft and camshaft inspection.
- Add crankshaft bearings and bottom repair kits.
Circuit Maintenance
- Inspect and repair electrical faults such as frequency instability, no voltage, start failure, off frequency, reverse power, and synchronizing failure.
